Terms and Conditions
Yacht owner reserves the right to cancel or postpone charters due to poor weather conditions, mechanical failures, Coastguard restrictions, and UAE Law Enforcement Decrees. In this instance, an alternate will be arranged. If this is not possible, any charter fees already paid will be returned in full.
Payment Terms: Full payment should be cleared on or before the booking time or before the trip commences. All booking requirements must be sent to our reservation desk at silkensailyacht@gmail.com for any assistance.
Silken Sail shall let the Yacht/Boat, and the Charterer shall hire the Yacht for the charter period along with the Captain and crew for the agreed charter fee. The booking amount shall be paid to Silken Sail or the yacht managing agent.
Cancellation Policy: Charter cancellation is required 48 hours prior to the booking date. If cancelled in less than 72 hours, the full amount will be charged. Cancellation by a client will incur a loss of the security deposit.
The CHARTERER shall not at any time during the Charter Period permit more than the maximum number of guests allowed on board and all guests are expected to wear life jackets at all times. This includes children accompanying the adults.
Children taken on board must be under the direct supervision of the adult throughout the Yacht/Boat cruise. The CHARTERER shall be fully responsible for their conduct and activities. No member of the crew shall be held responsible for their conduct or activities which are against the instructions of the crew or the captain.
The Captain will be in complete control of the yacht/boat throughout the duration of the trip.
Prohibited Items: Alcohol is not allowed during Ramadan and Dry Days as per law. Smoking is strictly prohibited.
CHARTERER shall ensure that no pets or other animals are brought on board without prior written consent from Silken Sail.
Silken Sail, its crew, or Captain cannot be held responsible for the loss of any personal belongings or property.
All guests are strictly expected to adhere to the rules and regulations. Passengers under the age of 21 must be supervised by an adult.
No liability is accepted for any personal injury during recreational activities including swimming, fishing, parasailing, or any other water sports.
The company holds insurance on both hull and passengers as per the insurance certificates displayed onboard.
The company takes no liability for any act of negligence on the part of the client. Any damage caused due to client negligence will be recovered from the client.
The company accepts no responsibility for pregnant women, or individuals with any disease, illness, or medical condition.
No liability is accepted for any loss or additional expenses incurred as a result of accident, injury, sickness, or death.
Any illegal or anti-social activities or the use of narcotics will be reported to the police without excuse.
All food items brought onboard by passengers must be UAE approved. Silken Sail, its crew, or Captain is not responsible for any food served from a third party.
Fishing must comply with UAE regulations. Loud music after 10 PM is strictly prohibited.
The Captain and all crew members are contingent as required for charters under UAE law.
Smoking and vaping are not allowed inside the yacht.
Life jackets must be worn when the Coast Guard issues a weather warning.
The head of the group must inform the Captain about non-swimmers and expectant mothers before going to sea.
No guest is permitted to jump into the sea when the vessel is underway, moving, or the engine is on.
Jumping to another boat or participating in water sports from the yacht is strictly prohibited. The trip will be immediately canceled and the yacht will return to the dock if this occurs.
Force Majeure: Force Majeure refers to any cause attributable to acts, accidents, weather, or omissions beyond the reasonable control of the captain. No warranty is made regarding weather suitability for the trip. If a storm threatens or is forecast to threaten the location of the chartered yacht/boat, the Captain may terminate or refuse boarding at his discretion. This decision is final. Upon termination, the CHARTERERS will be disembarked at the nearest safe port. In such cases, partial refunds are at the discretion of Silken Sail. Last-minute cancellations will not receive any refund.
